Plate or no plate

Plate or no plate that is the question?  I know a lot of people that hate candle plates. They believe the plates are a gimmick. Candle plates are about saving your table and floor.  I know you buy soy or bee’s wax candles. They don’t drip. Unless. The wick isn’t centered. The wax has a week spot cause by a lite breeze.  Someone bumped the table.  Do you really care how the wax got on the table or in the carpeting?  I would just want to know how to fix it without causes more damage.  Candle plates are just one way to avoid any chance of damage. Wax in the plate is not wax on your table or carpeting.
